We promote opportunities for community involvement and often have Seneca students to complete their placement hours at our Centre. All students must participate in the orientation to review policies & procedures and provide us with a copy of their health assessments.
They will also follow the same procedure of criminal records check and vulnerable sector screening. Students or volunteers are not counted in the staffing ratios for a class nor will they have unsupervised access to the children in the Centre. They will always be paired with a staff member both in the facility and on walking trips. And no one under the age of 18 is allowed to work or volunteer with the children in the Centre.
